"Our bodies communicate to us clearly and specifically, if we are willing to listen to them." —Shakti Gawain

Dear Friends,
We are pleased to announce our new Intermediate Pain-Free Marathon Training program - a 20-week program for those of you who have run marathons and would like to improve your skills for improved performance and recovery.
You don’t need to know ChiRunning, as the first phase of the Five Phase program concentrates on developing and/or deepening your ChiRunning skills. You’ll find that success does not come from pushing harder, but from intelligent movement that is sustainable for a lifetime of running.

Danny thoroughly enjoyed his most recent workshop in Denver, Colorado. He was joined by Master Instructor Mary Lindahl and eight Instructors and Instructor Candidates. The ChiRunning Certification program continues to grow and expand. Our instructor workshops are virtually sold out for this year so we are planning 4 more in 2010: March in Florida, June in Amsterdam, May or June in Chicago and Sept. or Oct. in Boston. You can get started with the Home Study program today.

Danny and ChiRunning Instructors in Denver this past weekend
This month’s article is about energy management: Gathering and Issuing. You’ll learn to take in and store energy while running and to issue it at key times during your workouts, improving each run with these focuses.
A note of thanks: Our great customers make it easier for us to keep great staff. We all talk about how lucky we are to meet and talk to so many wonderful people because of ChiRunning and ChiWalking.
Many blessings to you for your support and great energy!

Rest, renewal, recuperation and rejuvenation are all great themes, but most people think of these as something that occurs after their workout. But how can you rejuvenate in the midst of your workout? Continue reading this article »

Baked Summer Squash From Annie Perkinson of Flying Cloud Farm, NC
Summer squash is a very versatile and easy vegetable. It can be cooked with no need to peel. You can grill it, baste with oil or marinade, it’s great for shish kabobs, a simple casserole, roast it — it’s good! Try the recipe below for a great summer dish.

I bought your book (ChiRunning) about a month ago after reading many many positive reviews online. I had been searching for something to help me get past the constant foot pain and minor injuries that have kept cropping up over the last six years so that I could once again become a daily runner like I was 12 years ago.

Update on my trail race training "Thought I’d fill you in on my training progress for the National 10k Trail Championships. I’ve got just over a month left to train and I’ve just finished my conditioning phase which meant lots of slow aerobic distance running (mostly 1-hour runs at a comfortable pace ... 120-125 heart rate)."
